JOB SUMMARY: As managed by Institutional Giving Manager, research, prepare, write, edit, and proofread grant applications with an understanding of specific funders’ application guidelines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assist with the preparation and submission of narrative and financial reports.
Develop a timeline for projects to ensure timely submissions of applications and reports.
Provide additional information as required by prospective and existing funders.
Provide support for site visits from funders.
In a prompt and accurate manner, draft well-written acknowledgment letters for department and senior staff to institutional funders.
Maintain current hard-copy and electronic files on all institutional funders.
Record donor and prospect interactions on Altru.
Follow policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
Interact with colleagues to gather information required for grant applications and reports.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE: Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Ability to produce high-quality work on deadline. Comfortable managing simultaneous projects, priorities, and deadlines. Ability to be quick acting, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and maintain consistent productivity. Strong time management skills. Strong verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and work harmoniously with other employees. Ability to observe the highest level of discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information. Strong technical skills, including Microsoft Office. Knowledge of and competency with Altru database software a plus. Bachelor’s degree and three years recent, relevant experience or equivalent education and experience. Interest in and knowledge of art and/or contemporary art preferred.
