JOB SUMMARY: Provide clerical and administrative support in all areas of Human Resources. Support mission and vision of Museum throughout performance of duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Administer and maintain full cycle-recruitment efforts and applicant tracking system (ATS), including job postings; training managers on database use; ensuring receipt of required job-kit documentation; extending offers; conducting references and background checks; and administering efficient, engaging, and compliant employee onboarding.
- Serve as primary payroll systems administrator and maintain accurate and efficient payroll processes. Administer and maintain bi-weekly payroll processes, ensuring compliance to wage and hour legislation. Provide training to employees on wage and hour regulations and end users regarding the Museum’s electronic time clock system and HRIS system. Develop and distribute related training material and videos.
- Coordinate the end-to-end offboarding process from resignation or termination through final separation.
- Administer and maintain departmental HRIS system, monitor its performance, resolve issues, and assist end-users as needed.
- Organize and maintain all electronic and hardcopy personnel and HR related files and ensure files are organized, properly documented, and legally compliant. Audit files as needed.
- Administer HR intranet portal. Collaborate with IT as needed for system support.
- Provide clerical and administrative support for full spectrum HR functions, which may include recurring compliance reports, audits, surveys, data collection requests, benefit administration, data analysis reports, lists, charts, and other report compilation for the HR department, including both internal and external requests.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and activities.
- Ensure a safe work environment through knowledge of and adherence to safety policies and procedures.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE: Outstanding attention to detail and follow-through skills. Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills. Strong professional demeanor. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters and information and be discreet and tactful in all situations. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Outstanding technical skills and proficiency in MS Office and with a payroll and HRIS system. Bachelor’s degree and three years recent, relevant experience or any equivalent education and experience.
